Dr. Rebecca MacDow joined All Family Vision Care in August 2023. She grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and attended University of Arizona and received a BA in Elementary Education. After a few years of teaching in Jeju, South Korea where she rescued her beloved dog, she moved to Oregon to join her family after they relocated and shortly decided to return to school and pursue her dream of becoming an optometrist. She received a BS in Science from Portland State University and went on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. While in school, Dr. MacDow was involved with the outreach program, AMIGOS, and joined a mission trip to Senegal to provide much needed eye care and ocular disease control.
Dr. MacDow graduated in 2023 from Pacific and was a member of the Optometric Honor Society, Beta Sigma Kappa. Prior to graduation, she was able to go on internship rotations all over the country seeing a wide variety of ocular diseases, surgery pre- and post-op, and pediatric care. While no longer a schoolteacher, Dr. MacDow still really enjoys working with kids and educating patients of all ages on their eye care.
Dr. MacDow is excited to get to know Corvallis and settle into her new home. She spends much of her time with her Jindo dog taking him on walks or trips to the beach. She loves to learn new crafts and is starting her goal of becoming a better gardener.
